Clashes erupt in Islamabad after Friday prayers

Clashes erupted between forces and protesters in Islamabad town in southern part of Kashmir after Friday prayers.

Reports said that clashes started soon after protesters raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans tried to march towards Lal Chowk and a large posse of police intercepted them.

Forces used tear smoke shells and stun grenades to disperse the protesters.

Clashes reportedly disrupted the normal life in Jamia Masjid area of the town.
