Acting of a tip off about the presence of militants in Heff village of Pulwama, government forces cordoned the area and later intense clashes broke out injuring a youth.

According to district correspondent of Kashmir Life, a youth was injured when government forces opened fire to disperse protesters, besides resorting to tear gas canisters.
Locals told Kashmir Life that gunshots were heard in the area following the clashes and a youth was injured after the forces left the village and came under stone-pelting near Achan village of Pulwama. “The forces resorted to firing to disperse the protesters,” local said.
The injured youth has been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
