SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday announced the annual regular results for Class 12, reporting that at least 85 percent of students qualified the examinations.
JKBOSE officials stated that 85 percent of students passed the Class 12 exams. Meanwhile, the board also announced that 84 percent of students cleared the Class 10 annual regular examinations.
Earlier, JKBOSE had announced a 15 percent syllabus relaxation for Class 10, 11, and 12 examinations.
In a notification, the Director of Academics of JKBOSE said the decision was made based on recommendations from the Directors of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) and Jammu (DSEJ), as well as appeals from other stakeholders regarding syllabus reduction. The adjustments were proposed due to the delayed start of the academic session and disruptions in the academic calendar caused by heatwaves, torrential rains, cloudbursts, and floods.
The notification stated: “As approved by the competent authority, it is notified that prospective eligible students appearing in Class 10, 11, and 12 in the forthcoming 2025 annual regular examination in Kashmir Division, the winter zone areas of Jammu Division, and the Union Territory of Ladakh, shall attempt 85 percent of marks, which will be considered equivalent to 100 percent, thereby availing a 15 percent relaxation in the syllabus.”
