Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (BOSE) Thursday evening declared class 12 results.

The result is available on the official website of J&K BOSE, www.jkbose.co.in

“51908 candidates appeared in the annual examinations of class 12th.  29684, 57 percent, candidates have been declared qualified,” Chairperson JKBOSE Zahoor Ahmad Chatt told Kashmir Life.

Bushra Amin of Muslim Educational Institute Pampore has secured first position in science stream with 489 marks, 97.8%, while second and third positions have gone to Milad Muhammad (488 97.6) and Hafsa Masood (487 97.4) of Tyandle Biscoe School and Mallinson Girls school, respectively.

In commerce stream Tehneez Bashir (471, 94.2%) of Green Valley Educational Institute Illahi Bagh has secured first position while second and third positions have gone to Anfa Muzaffar (469, 93.8%) and Furqan Showkat (467, 93.4%) of Candid Higher Secondary School Nowgam and Government Higher Secondary School Nanil, respectively.

In Arts stream, Jamiat-ul-Banaat Umer Colony Lal Bazar has secured the top seven positions. Aiman Jan Habib (486, 97.2%); Surayya Nazir (480, 96%); Ummay Honey (479, 95.8%) are the three top position holders.

In Home Science Stream, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kothi Bagh has secured first three positions with Ifla Shabir (471, 94.2%); Nasheem Ashraf (469, 93.8%); Bisma Nazir (444, 88.8%).

The results according to BOSE chairperson have shown a two percent growth to the previous year. In 2014, 55 percent students had qualified the examinations, while 57 percent students have qualified it this year.

In 2013, 53 percent students had qualified class 12th examination.
