The class work will remain suspended in all the colleges and higher secondary schools in various districts of Kashmir valley for tomorrow, while primary and high schools will function normally across Kashmir.
An official said that the decision has been taken as a “precautionary measure” to avoid student protests in the campuses.
The official of the district administration said the class work will remain suspended in all the degree colleges of Srinagar tomorrow.
The deputy commissioner Shopian said all the higher secondary schools and colleges will remain closed on Monday and class work will remain suspended as well. “But schools up to high school level will remain functional,” he said.
Also, class work will remain suspended in all higher secondary schools and colleges in Sopore division of Baramulla district. “Rest of the educational institutions will remain functional in the district,” said an official.
The district administration Kupwara has decided to suspend class work in Government Degree College Handwara “as a precautionary measure.”
All schools and colleges in Pulwama town will also remain closed tomorrow. “But educational institutions in rest of the areas of the district will remain open,” said the Deputy Commissioner.
