SRINAGAR: Mudasir Ahmad (19), son of Mohammad Iqbal, a resident of Jammu & Kashmir, was electrocuted at Thatha village near Chabal in Punjab on Monday.
Quoting Inspector Jaswant Singh, SHO, Chabal police station, newspaper The Tribune reported that the deceased had come here with Nisar Ahmad, the driver of the truck to unloaded the goods. The driver of the truck had parked the truck beside the roadside in the afternoon to have a meal.
When he entered the truck Mudasir Ahmad went atop the truck and touched the high voltage cables passing across the truck and died on the spot.
The SHO, along with the police team, visited the spot to collect the first-hand information, reported The Tribune.
