SRINAGAR: A cloud burst was reported from Sedou village, which is located very close to Ahrabal water fall. The burst has massively increased the water level in the Toungri rivulet, reports said.

Details about the cloud burst triggering any loss of life or property were not immediately known.

Some reports said that the cloud burst hit the hillock and highly surcharged the small stream called Shah Khul that has inundated part of the village. Right now the main Masjid is under water and almost 30 households are reportedly inundated. There is no report of about the loss of life, if any but reports insist many cattle heads might have been lost. The stream, it may be recalled here, passes through the Sedou village.

This is the second major cloud burst in south Kashmir. Early last week, a similar cloud burst in Kokernag led to massive devastation of the belt.

The bursts were reported at 3 pm and most of the discharge moved with plants and whatever it had in its way and washed it down through the village.
