SRINAGAR: A cloudburst has been reported near the cave of Amarnath in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday. No loss of life or injury has been reported as of yet.
Two SDRF teams are present at the cave, while one additional team of SDRF deputed from Ganderbal.
The cloudburst is said to have taken place at a certain distance from the cave. However, two unoccupied tents suffered damage in the incident.
Earlier today, flash floods caused by a cloudburst in the Kishtwar district killed at least seven and injured almost 17 people.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that the Army and State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) teams are working on war footing to rescue people and trace the missing persons.
