SRINAGAR: A cloudburst has hit Zedgay Nallah at Tulail area of Gurez in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday evening.
Quoting an official news agency KNO reported that a cloudburst triggered flash floods in Zedgay Nallah area, which led to an overflow of a nearby stream and the water entered into the house of villagers.
“Due to cloudburst, two cows also died on the spot and several residential houses got submerged,” he said.
Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gurez, Mudasir Ahmad said that they have sent teams to assess the situation. He, however, said that the situation is normal as of now while there was no loss of life during the incident.
