The Community Centres to be used by the locals for social gatherings and marriages have been also provided with separate cooking area and parking facility besides other requisite amenities.

Urging people to make best use of these community facilities, the Chief Minister said possibilities will be explored to utilize these centres for vocational and related activities for youth development apart from routine social events.

“These community facilities can also be used by the women of the area to share their feelings and thoughts,” she said.

Ms Mehbooba said there is great need of establishing such community centres in other parts of the Srinagar so that people can make best use of these facilities for social gatherings due to scarcity of open space in the city.
