Chief Minister of J&K Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Wednesday visited Sheikhpora Pandit Colony in Budgam district. The chief Minister heard the grievances on Pandits living there very keenly and assured them for timely action for their proper rehabilitation.

About 30 families are living in this colony and they were rehabilitated their under special Prime Minister Packages in which job and living home was given to them about 10 years back.

Chief Minister interacted with them and assured them for a timely redressal of their problems.

Meanwhile, one of the Pandit Ajay Safaya living in Sheikhpora colony alleged that every government assured them for our rehabilitation but government of India is “using Kashmiri Pandits as scapegoats. And now if proper rehabilitation is not given to us we will be happy to leave valley again.”
