Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday convened an All Party Meet tomorrow amid a fresh spike in the violence in Kashmir.

The meeting will take place at a time when 16 people- eight militants, seven civilians and a tourist have been killed in the valley in past four days.

On Saturday three militants were killed in Srinagar’s Chattabal area, besides a teenager was also crushed to death by a police vehicle.

On Sunday five civilians were killed after forces fired at protesters at a number of places in south Kashmir when the encounter was going in Badigam Shopian.

In the encounter, four militants including top Hizb commander Sadam Padder and KU assistant professor Dr. Mohamad Rafi Bhat were killed. The gunfight broke out in Badigam village early on Sunday, May 6, 2018, after the joint team of Army, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the area.
