Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and NC Working president Omar Abdullah on Monday felicitated people on the annual urs of Hazrat Sheikh ul Aalam Sheikh Noor-ud-din Wali (RA) being observed today.
In her message, the Chief Minister described Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Aalam as the fountainhead of spirituality, amity and brotherhood. She said the revered saint preached eternal values of Islam through his famed poetry, which is held in high esteem by every citizen of Jammu and Kashmir.
Mehbooba Mufti said the dire need of present times is to go back to the teachings of Hazrat Sheikh ul Aalam which provide a guiding force to the humanity.
National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Working President Omar Abdullah said Sheikh Noor-ud-din Noorani (RA)’s timeless values and teachings continue to guide people towards the righteous path of selfless devotion, spirituality and servitude.
“Hazrat Alamdar-e-Kashmir (RA)’s message of kindness and selflessness needs to be emulated in every aspect of life and his legacy will continue to form the bedrock of our rich cultural and spiritual inheritance”, Dr Farooq and Omar Abdullah said in the message.
