Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti reached Kupwara around 3 Saturday afternoon.
Sources said that PDP’s Ab Haq Khan, MPO Fayaz Ahmad Mir are with the Chief Minister who is in the town to review the security situation. Besides, DGP and IGP too are accompanying CM Ms Mufti.
Five persons have been killed by forces since last Tuesday during protests following alleged molestation bid by an army man.
Ms Mehbooba flew from winter capital Jammu and reached Kupwara this afternoon. Sources added that she will be holding several meeting with district administration and senior citizens of Kupwara in Dak Bunglow.
“CM will be meeting victims families as well,” sources said.
Four youth and an elderly woman have been shot dead by forces.
