Mehbooba Mufti, the daughter of late CM Mufti Mohammad Sayeed will be sworn-in as the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir late Thursday evening if the procession returns early from Bijbehara, top government sources revealed.
In case, the sources added, if the procession comprising of Mehbooba Mufti and ministers turn late, then the swearing-in ceremony will be held early tomorrow.
Police have been directed to make all the arrangements for the ceremony to be held at SKICC.
Meanwhile, PDP party sources are neither negating nor confirming the reports.
Notably, Mehbooba Mufti, who represents South Kashmir in Lok Sabha, was with her CM father in AIIMS since December 24 till this day. Late Mufti was admitted in AIIMS a day after he toured Srinagar.
