The funeral prayers of late CM Mufti Mohammad Sayeed are likely to be held inside the courtyard of his Gupkar residence.
CM Mufti died early Thursday at AIIMS, New Delhi and his body was flown to Srinagar this afternoon where from it was driven to Fairview residence of Muftis.
Witnesses said that huge number of people has reached the Gupkar residence of Mufti where his body lays. “Mourners are already standing and waiting for Nimaz-i-Jinaza,” one of the witnesses said.
Mufti’s body is being driven to his ancestral town of Bijbehara where he will be laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in the evening.
