The meeting began at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar, hours after four National Conference legislators were sworn in as ministers in the Omar Abdullah-led Council of Ministers.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers at the Lok Bhavan Auditorium in Srinagar on Tuesday.

The allocation of portfolios is expected to determine the responsibilities of the newly inducted ministers and the departments they will oversee. The distribution of departments is likely to be announced by Tuesday evening or Wednesday.

The Cabinet is also expected to deliberate on governance-related matters and administrative priorities following the ministerial reshuffle.

An official announcement regarding the allocation of portfolios is awaited.
