SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today launched the 2025 tourism calendars and trekking maps created by the Jammu and Kashmir Department of Tourism at an event held at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu.
The ceremony was attended by key officials, including Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Dheeraj Gupta, Commissioner Secretary Tourism Yasha Mudgal, and the Directors of Tourism from Kashmir and Jammu.
The initiative features wall and table calendars for 2025 that highlight Jammu and Kashmir’s picturesque landscapes, cultural heritage, and rich tourism assets. Additionally, trekking maps detailing prominent trails such as the Kolahoi Glacier Trek, Khrew-Wasterwan Trail, Gurez-Sonamarg Trek, Sarbal Bear Valley Trek, and Margan Pass Tsoharmarg Trek were also unveiled.
Commending the Tourism Department’s efforts, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of such initiatives in promoting Jammu and Kashmir as a premier travel destination.
“These calendars and trekking maps will serve as valuable tools in providing essential information about the region’s stunning tourist destinations and trekking routes. This initiative will undoubtedly help attract more visitors to explore the natural beauty and adventure opportunities our state offers,” Abdullah said.
