SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday expressed deep concern over a devastating fire that gutted at least 20 residential houses in Tachna village of the Dachhan area in Kishtwar district, impacting several families.
In a post shared by the Office of the Chief Minister on social media, the Chief Minister directed the district administration to ensure immediate relief to the affected families, assess the extent of losses and extend all necessary assistance.

The fire broke out late on Thursday night, causing widespread destruction and leaving many residents homeless. Preliminary reports indicated that several livestock were charred to death in the blaze, while at least four persons sustained burn injuries. The injured were rushed to a nearby health facility, where their condition was reported to be stable.
