SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday extended greetings to the people on the occasion of the annual Urs of Hazrat Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani (RA), also known as Ameer-e-Kabeer.
In his message, the Chief Minister said the saint’s teachings of peace, compassion, brotherhood and righteousness continue to guide society and inspire generations across Jammu and Kashmir.
He said Hazrat Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani (RA) played an important role in spreading the message of Islam and promoting communal harmony in the region through his scholarship and character.
Abdullah urged people to follow the values preached by the saint and work towards strengthening unity, mutual respect and harmony in society.
He also prayed for peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion.
