CM Omar Holds Pre-Budget Talks for Second Consecutive Day

   

SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah conducted pre-budget consultations for the second consecutive day on Wednesday, meeting with key government departments to review priorities and outline development imperatives ahead of the Budget Session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, scheduled to begin on February 2, 2026.

The consultations focused on assessing sectoral needs, evaluating departmental proposals and ensuring that developmental plans align with the broader objectives of the Union Territory. Officials from various departments presented their recommendations and discussed strategies to address public requirements effectively.

The series of meetings is part of the Chief Minister’s effort to streamline budget planning and prioritise initiatives aimed at sustainable development and enhanced public welfare across Jammu and Kashmir.
