SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday laid the foundation stone for a new Public Works Department (R and B) Dak Bungalow at Bagh-e-Bahu, jammu, aimed at strengthening public infrastructure in the region.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary, Chief Minister’s Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani, senior PWD officers and engineers, and other dignitaries.
The proposed G+2 facility has been designed as a modern, functional structure, featuring suites, a VIP suite, dining and reception areas, kitchen, housekeeping and laundry services, lifts and staircases.
Additional amenities will include a gymnasium, recreational hall, and a meeting hall to enhance utility and provide comfort to visiting dignitaries and officials.
Abdullah highlighted the significance of developing quality infrastructure that meets contemporary standards while serving administrative and public needs efficiently.
