SRINAGAR : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday directed the School Education Department to complete its inquiry into the incident involving a young schoolgirl in Kishtwar within a month and ensure stringent action based on its findings.
Chairing a review of the matter, the Chief Minister directed the concerned authorities to conduct a thorough and time-bound inquiry and bring it to its logical conclusion at the earliest.
Omar stressed that the matter must be dealt with firmly and that appropriate and exemplary action should be taken based on the findings of the inquiry.
He also directed the department to take all necessary steps to ensure that the inquiry is completed within the stipulated one-month deadline.
