The Minister of State for Home and I&C, Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo, on the directions of the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, Monday issued instructions to the authorities to allow for now the different coaching and tuition centres in Srinagar city to function till the students appear in various courses for the upcoming exams.

According to official statement, this decision has been taken to save the precious time of the students and also to enable the management of tuition centres to register and upgrade their infrastructure as per norms.

Earlier, these institutions were closed following the directions from the authorities to get their establishments registered in the first instance. The management of these institutions had requested for granting them some time to complete these formalities. A deputation of the management of various coaching and tuition centres, which had yesterday called on the Minister of State for Home at Srinagar, had pleaded that closing these centres will  affect the performance of the students who are appearing in various common entrance tests and competitive examinations,

Responding to the instructions of the Chief Minister and Minister of State for Home, the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Baseer Ahmad khan, has issued orders for allowing these coaching centres to function till the exams of students are held so that the students are not put to any hardships.

This decision has been hailed by the students, parents and the management of the tuition centres.

Meanwhile, the tution centres have been asked to complete their formalities in a time-bound manner so that the best possible educational facilities are extended to the students to enable them to compete at various levels.
