Cold wave conditions continued in the Kashmir Valley and the Ladakh region on Wednesday as minimum temperatures dropped several notches below the freezing point.
The minimum temperature was minus 2.8 in Srinagar, while it was minus 8.4 and minus 4.0 in Pahalgam and Gulmarg, respectively. Kargil was the coldest town at minus 14.9 while Leh recorded minus 6 degrees Celsius.
Kokernag town recorded a low of minus 3.4 degrees Celsius while Kupwara town in north Kashmir registered a low of minus 4.6 degrees Celsius last night.
Jammu city recorded 6.0, Katra 7.0, Batote 3.3, Banihal minus 0.5, Bhaderwah minus 0.4 and Udhampur 1.4 degrees Celsius.
