Cold Wave Continues In Kashmir, Gulmarg Freezes At Minus 1.0

   

SRINAGAR: The minimum temperatures in most of the parts of the valley remained several notches below the freezing point on Saturday.

An official from the Metrological department Kashmir has forecast mainly dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir till December 3.

Srinagar, the summer capital of J&K recorded 0.4 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature while Pahalgam in south Kashmir recorded minus 1.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

The night temperature in Gulmarg – the famous tourist resort settled at a low of minus 1.0 degrees while the mercury in Qazigund in south Kashmir settled at a low of minus 0.3 degrees Celsius.

Kokernag town recorded a low of minus 0.5 degrees Celsius while Kupwara town in north Kashmir registered a low of minus 0.4 degrees Celsius last night.

Jammu city recorded 10.3, Katra 9.6, Batote 4.9, Banihal 1.4 and Bhaderwah 2.8 as the minimum temperatures.
