Describing Congress the country’s largest political party, senior Congress leader and MoS Cooperatives, Industries, Commerce and Planning, Manohar Lal said that Congress has options other than the National Conference (NC) to remain in power in the state.
“There is no question of any compulsion to form the government with NC. Congress has other options available to remain in the power, keeping NC aside”, Mahohar Lal told local news agency KNS on Friday.
While reacting to NC additional general secretary, Mustafa Kamal’s statement where he had called the alliance with congress a compulsion, Lal said, “If NC thinks it is a compulsion to remain with Congress, why it (NC) is not going away and taking its own road. Mustafa Kamal is a senior leader of his party and he should not issue irresponsible statements”.
Speaking about the pre poll 2014 alliance with NC, he said that it is the Congress high command which will take the decision.
