Congress High Command Accepts Resignation Of Office Bearers

   

SRINAGAR: All India Congress Committee (AICC) Wednesday accepted the resignation of JKPCC Vice Presidents and Budgam Incharge District President.

Congress high command taking cognizance of the resignation tendered by JKPCC Vice Presidents Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, Gulam Nabi Monga, Mohd Anwar Bhat decided to accept their resignation, with immediate effect.

Party high command also accepted the resignation of  Incharge DCC President Budgam Zahid Hussain Jan.

Pertinently, these PCC office-bearers had tendered their resignation sometime back, which was widely carried by Print and electronic media.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC)Wednesday held a condolence meeting on the passing away of younger brother JKPCC President Ghulam Ahmad Mir, at Srinagar Party Office.

A condolence meeting of Senior Party Leaders, Former Legislators, DCC Presidents and others was held at the Srinagar Congress Office in which the leaders expressed profound grief over the passing away of Mohammad Akbar Mir. The deceased was the younger brother of JKPCC President Ghulam Ahmad Mir.

The meeting termed Mohd Akbar Mir as a magnanimous and upright personality while expressing deep shock over his passing away at a young age. The leaders shared the grief with the bereaved family especially JKPCC President and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

JKPCC Vice President and Former Legislator Haji Abdul Rashid Dar presided over the condolence meeting.

Former Legislator Bashir Ahmad Magrey, Senior Leader G.N.Mir Lasjan, Gen Secretary Shameema Iqbal, DCC President Abdul Gani Khan, Mushtaq Khanday, Sahil Farooq, Umer Jaan, besides Mir Ruvais, Shameema Sopori, Dr Fayaz, Raja Ashraf Ali, Rahila, Zulfkar Qureshi, Muzaffar Shah, Javed Ahmad and others addressed the meeting.

Senior Leaders of DCC Budgam, DCC Presidents Baramulla, Anantnag, Kulgam, Bandipora, Kupwara also attended the condolence meeting and expressed their solidarity with the Party President Ghulam Ahmad Mir and other members of the bereaved family.

Senior Party Leaders and workers visited JKPCC President at Damhal Anantnag and conveyed their heartfelt condolences while praying for eternal peace to the departed soul.
