“No International and human law’s, democratic values and ethic’s allows anybody to refuse a dead person his last rites,” this was stated by acting chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) advocate Bashir Ahmad Bhat.
Terming the act of hanging and denying body to family as barbaric, Bashir said, “Indian leaders, rulers and their puppets in the state of Jammu Kashmir have shown their barbaric face by hanging and denying Mohammad Afzal Guru his last rites according to his faith.”
“Father of Kashmiri nation Mohammad Maqbool Butt and son of Kashmir Mohammad Afzal Guru are our hero’s and people of Kashmir will continue their protest and struggle for the return of mortal remains of these hero’s so that they are laid to rest in Mazar I Shuhada Eid Gah with religious and national pride and honor,” he added.
Terming the ‘crocodile tears’ of pro-India politicians and rulers in Kashmir as Shameless, Bashir said that these politicians have started issuing statements in favor of Afzal Shaheed and the return of his mortal remains to his family.
“These people without any conscience, humanity or dignity must know that people of Kashmir know their lust for power and also remember their tyrant and hypocritical approach. These people must know that they are equally responsible for the murder of Afzal guru and other Kashmiri’s.”
“Pro India politicians’ of Kashmir must remember that their masters in Delhi have proved themselves much worse than the beasts of jungles by refusing Mohammad Afzal guru a proper burial and last rites,” he added.
While condemning the brutal use of force against the mourners and protesters and a wave of arrests by police and other forces, Bashir said that police is acting like more loyal than the king and has unleashed a reign of terror in Kashmir and Muslim belt of Jammu province.
