Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar has directed police to take cognizance of the complaint filed by a cop who has submitted before the court that police station Nowhata is shielding and supporting an accused allegedly threatening the police constable and interfering in his marital life.
A police constable Farooq Ahmed Mir son Late Ghulam Qadir, a resident of Ranghamam Nowhatta area of Srinagar city had submitted before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar that a local resident from Dadsara Tral is causing interference in his marital relation by frequently coming to his residence in his absence to lure his better-half.
Through his Counsel Advocate Zulifkar the police constable has submitted that the Munshi of the police station Nowhatta is shielding the culprit and instead of lodging an FIR against the accused is threatening him of dire-consequences.
The Court has directed Station House Officer Police Station Nowhatta to register a formal case against the accused and submit a report before the court before November 26 through Chief Prosecuting Officer Saddar Court Srinagar.
