Ten more patients have been tested positive in Kashmir on Friday, taking the number of infected cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 198.
An official said that ten patients have tested positive for Covid-19 at SKIMS Soura.
He said that those who tested positive at SKIMS are said to be residents of Baramulla and Kupwara districts. Of them, seven are said to be from Baramulla.
With the surge in the new cases, the total tally of infected persons in the entire Union Territory reached 198, 162 in Kashmir and 36 in Jammu. However, six patients have been discharged, four others, one from Udhampur and three from the Valley have died of the disease.
