Coronavirus: 13 More Positive Patients Recovered, Discharged

Dr Bilquis Shah from the JLNM told Kashmir Life that thirteen COVID-19 positive patients from district Shopian were discharged today after their two repeated samples 48hrs apart tested negative.

She said that these patients first tested positive on April 21 and their repeat samples on May 4 and May 6 tested negative for COVID-19.

“On May 7 as these patients were from Shopian and due to mobile phones being shut down in the valley, the hospital couldn’t communicate with authorities at Shopian for arranging the transport,” she said.

“These patients were separated from rest of the positive patients and were kept in separate ward till the vehicle from Shopian arrived in the Hospital,” she added.

“All these patients were asymptomatic and were discharged after 16 days from JLNM Hospital Rainawari Srinagar. Besides this six pregnant women suspects from various red zones whose deliveries/LSCS were conducted at JLNM and who tested negative afterwards were also discharged today from JLNM hospital,” Dr Bilquis said.

“Now total discharged patients today from JLNM Hospital are 19. Now total positive patients admitted at JLNM Hospital at present are 60,” she said.
