The samples of 19 more people tested positive in Kashmir on Saturday, raising the total of COVID19 confirmed cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 664.

An official said that 19 have tested positive at the Government Medical College led laboratory in CD hospital.

He said 470 samples had been tested at the laboratory in 24 hours and 188 more samples were under process when this report was filed.

The hospital has collected 532 fresh samples for the tests on Monday, May 2, 2020.

“Of the 19 new cases, 15 are from Srinagar and four from Anantnag district,” he said, added that 18 are contacts of previous patients and one has travel history of Delhi.

As of now, J&K has reported 664 cases, out of which 606 were in Kashmir and 58 in Jammu. Eight have died, while 247 recovered.
