The samples of 24 more people tested positive in Kashmir on Monday, raising the total of COVID19 confirmed cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 725.

An official said that twenty cases were confirmed at Viral Diagnostic Lab at SKIMS and four others at COVID-19 testing lab at Chest Disease Hospital Dalgate.

“Of the 24 new cases, 12 are from Baramulla and four from Budgam,  two from Shopian, two from Bandipora, two from Srinagar, one from Poonch and one from Pulwama district,” he said.

Being Covid-19 Positive

He said all the new cases have contact history with earlier positive cases.

While the total number of cases in Kashmir division detected so far is 664, Jammu has reported 61 cases. As of now, J&K has reported 725 cases, of which 428 are Active Positive, 254 have recovered and eight have died.
