Three more coronavirus cases have been reported from Ladakh, taking the total number of patients in the newly formed Union Territory to 13.

Rigzin Samphel, secretary/commissioner Ladakh affairs said three more persons have tested positive for coronavirus infection in Ladakh.

Among the thirteen who tested positive for COVID-19, one is an army soldier, he said.

“After the reports of the three patients came positive, they were immediately shifted to an isolation ward in a hospital here by health officials,” he said.

With today’s results, 13 people have tested positive in the Ladakh UT while four have so far tested positive in Jammu and Kashmir UT.

All educational institutions, hotels and restaurants among others have already been closed down in the region till March 31.
