SRINAGAR: As many as 39 samples that were diagnosed for Covid-19 at the SKIMS laboratory have turned positive,  officials said.

An official told Kashmir Life that 39 persons have been tested positive for COVID19 at the SKIMS laboratory.

“Of the 39 new cases, thirty-five are from Kupwara, one from Baramulla, two from Srinagar and one from Pampore,” he said. “We are in the process of getting the details of the individuals.

He said 3500 samples had been tested at the lab in 24 hours and 5422 more samples were pending when this report was filed.

He added that 683 samples have tested positive and 39287 samples have tested negative at SKIMS till date.

As of now, J&K has reported 1542 cases, out of which 800 are Active Positive, 684 have recovered and 21  have died.
