SRINAGAR: The number of Covid-19 patients in Jammu and Kashmir rose to 5356 on Saturday, after 58 more patients tested positive for the dreaded virus.

An official told Kashmir Life that 58 persons have been tested positive for COVID19 at the SKIMS laboratory.

“Of the 58 new cases, 32 are from Shopian, six from Kulgam, five from Srinagar, two from  Kupwara, five from Baramulla, four from Anantnag, two from Bandipora and one each from Ganderbal and Pulwama districts,” he said. “We are in the process of getting the details of the individuals.

He said 2144 samples had been tested at the lab in 24 hours when this report was filed.

As of now, J&K has reported 5356 cases, out of which 2512 are Active Positive, 2781 have recovered and 64 have died; 07 in Jammu division and 57 in Kashmir division.
