SRINAGAR: The last flight that landed at Srinagar airport was simply transhipped into the bus and driven to quarantine, well-placed sources said. This flight carried 78 Kashmiris who were struck in Delhi for one or the other reason.

“The flight came after we were initially told that everything was over,” one official privy of the developments said. “It eventually landed at around 9 pm crying the stranded passengers.”

The official said they were simply shifted in buses and driven to quarantine facilities in their respective areas.

On the last day of the closure of the interstate traffic and air travel, almost 27 flights landed in Srinagar. Though they carried lot any passengers but during the entire day as many as 155 of the in-coming passengers, mostly with the foreign travel were quarantined. Later, in the evening the last flight actually landed in the quarantine facilities completely. “So today alone we had 193 individuals adding up the population in the quarantine,” an official said.
