SRINAGAR: The number of Covid-19 patients in Jammu and Kashmir rose to 1002 on Friday, after eight more patients tested positive for the dreaded virus.

An official told Kashmir Life that eight persons have been tested positive for COVID19 at the SKIMS laboratory.

“Of the 8 new cases, six are from Baramulla, one each from Pulwama and Bandipora districts,” he said. “We are in the process of getting the details of the individuals.”

At SKIMS, 1210 samples were tested in one day and 514 samples are under process, he said.

He added that 529 samples have tested positive and 25903 samples have tested negative at SKIMS till date.
