Bandipora administration on Saturday sealed 13 shops including a hotel in for violating the prohibitory orders imposed under section 144 in the district in view of the coronavirus outbreak.
On the directions of District Magistrate Bandipora, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza, 13 shops were sealed by Executive Magistrate (1st Class) for attracting a rush of people thus violating Section 144. A hotel under the banner “King Star” was also sealed for violating the orders.
Accordingly, the violators have been booked under FIR No. 21/2020 US 188 at Police Station Bandipora.
Restrictions have been imposed in the district under Section 144 as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of COVID-2019. Deputy Commissioner Bandipora has appealed the people of the district to cooperate with the administration by remaining indoors to prevent the pandemic from affecting them.
