Authorities today booked 8 Persons for violating quarantine laws by fleeing from the Red Zone areas and travelling to Tral, a tehsil of the district.
According to Tehsildar, Pulwama, the field staff reported the presence of eight persons in the house of Mohammad Sahaban Sheikh R/o: Amirabad Tral. These persons have reportedly fled from the Red Zone declared villages of Parigam and Qazigund of Tehsil Pulwama, a few days ago.
While taking cognizance of the matter District Administration quickly traced all the 8 persons and put them in the quarantine at Hamdard Grammar School, Tral.
All the 8 persons have been booked under section 269 IPC( unlawfully or negligently doing something which is likely to spread infection of any dangerous disease to life) , section 270 IPC ( malignant act likely to spread infection of dangerous disease to life), section 271 IPC (knowingly disobeying any quarantine rule) and section 188 IPC ( for disobeying any Government orders).
District Magistrate, Pulwama, warned of stern action against anyone violating the orders. He reiterated that there would be zero-tolerance against those endangering thousands of lives. He added that violating Government orders will warrant penal action and prosecution proceedings will be initiated against such violators.
