Four more patients have been tested positive in Udhampur district of Jammu division on Friday, taking the number of infected cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 188.

An official said that twelve contacts were established for the deceased lady who died of coronavirus on Wednesday.

He said that ten were sampled here in Udhampur and out of these five have turned out positive.

He added that the reports of son and husband of deceased are awaited from GMC Jammu.

“Tikri has been declared as red zone and aggressive contact tracing being done by health teams. Strict containment plan being implemented,” said an official.

With the surge in the new cases, the total tally of infected persons in the entire Union Territory reached 188, 152 in Kashmir and 36 in Jammu. However, six patients have been discharged, four others, one from Udhampur and three from the Valley have died of the disease.
