The number of Covid-19 patients in Jammu and Kashmir rose to 2152 on Monday, after 58 more patients tested positive for the dreaded virus.

Dr S Saleem Khan, nodal officer COVID19 at GMC Srinagar said 58 more persons including four pregnant women have been tested positive at CD hospital Srinagar.

“Of these 58 new cases, 17 including 9 from a family in Cherward Kokernag and four pregnant women are from Anantnag district, 17 are from Pulwama, 15 from Kupwara, three from Srinagar, one each from Bandipora, Ganderbal and Shopian districts,” Dr Khan said.

He said 842 samples were processed in 24 hours at CD hospital laboratory.

As of now, J&K has reported 2152 cases, out of which 922 are active postive and 28 have died.
