Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs has issued the list of essential service that will be allowed to operate and function during the lock-down period.
According to Government Order no. 60- FCS&CA- of 2020, issued by Government of Jammu and Kashmir Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs said that in view of the situation arising due to Coronavirus, the following are declared as essential services in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Supply of groceries (whole-sellers and retailers), the supply of fresh fruits and vegetables, mandis and retailers, dispensing of petrol and diesel at pumps, milk shops and diaries and related products, the supply of cattle feed and fodder, medicines and other pharmaceuticals, banks and ATM’s, supply of LPG both domestic and commercial, health services including the movement of staff thereof, manufacturing of health and medical equipment, telecom operators and their designated agencies, newspapers, post offices, loading and unloading of wheat and rice at FCI and state food depots, transportation of essential commodities through highways, petrol diesel, kerosene, milk, vegetables, fruits, groceries, FCI supply etc, provisions of electricity, water supply and municipal and sanitary service including the movement of staff thereof,” reads an order issued by Simrandeep Singh, Secretary to Government.
