The Jammu and Kashmir Police has established helpline numbers for elderly people of several districts in view of the Coronavirus lockdown.
A police spokesman in a statement said, “Police have taken an initiative in view of the emerging situation that senior citizens might have been facing difficulties in meeting out their basic needs due to COVID-19 lockdown across Jammu and Kashmir so that they are not forced by the circumstances to move out of their houses in search of essentials.”
“Police is committed to reaching out to the people in distress and requested them not to come out of their homes until any exigency and follow all the advisories issued by the administration,” said the spokesman.
