SRINAGAR: A 70-year old CIVID-19 positive patient from Srinagar died at JLNM hospital on Saturday evening, taking the number of deaths due to novel Coronavirus disease to 40 in Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Bilquis Shah nodal officer COVID-19 control at JLNM hospital said an elderly patient who was found positive for the viral infection and was admitted to the hospital on May 26.
Dr Shah said the patient died today evening due to cardiac arrest. The deceased was resident of Baghat Barzulla area of Srinagar, Dr Shah added.
With his death, the number of casualties due to the novel Coronavirus has reached 40 in J&K.
