SRINAGAR: A 40-year old CIVID19 positive woman from Bijbehera died at SKIMS on Wednesday late night, taking the number of deaths due to novel Coronavirus disease to 18 in Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Ghulam Hassan Yatoo, Nodal officer for COVID-19 at SKIMS Soura said that a woman from Bijbehera area of Anantnag was found positive for the viral infection and died on Tuesday late night.
The woman, Dr Yatoo said, was suffering from acute pancreatitis and was admitted in an isolation ward from last few days.
The death is the seventh COVID19 casualty in the past four days in Kashmir. With his death, the number of casualties due to the novel Coronavirus has reached 18 in J&K. Earlier, 17 patients have died due to COVID-19 including 15 from Kashmir.
