SRINAGAR: Kashmir Valley on Wednesday reported second death due to covid-19 after a 70-year-old resident from Khanpora area of Baramulla died at SMHS hospital in Srinagar, taking the overall death toll in J&K to 65.
An official said that an elderly patient who was found positive for the viral infection was suffering from pneumonia and was admitted to SMHS hospital on June 15.
He said that the patient died today late evening.
This is the second Covid death since morning in Kashmir as earlier in the day, a 65-year-old man from Shopian died at SKIMS Soura.
With these fatalities, the number of casualties due to the novel Coronavirus has reached 65 in J&K.
