One more person has tested positive in Kargil area of Ladakh for coronavirus, taking the number of covid-19 patients to 42 in Ladakh Union Territory.
“Today’s update: With one more case of positive COVID-19, total cases now 5 in Kargil-Ladakh. Plz exercise caution, #StayHome and cooperate with survey/surveillance teams,” Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary deputy commissioner Kargil tweeted.
With the one additional patients, the overall tally of Covid-19 positive cases in the desert region have gone up to 41. So far, officials said 17 of them have recovered. Now the region that reported the prevalence of the disease first in erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state, has only 25 active cases.
It is interesting to mention here that Ladakh tops the list of states and UTs in India that have done Covid-19 tests on a large scale.
