Authorities have closed all the Primary schools in four districts of Kashmir valley till further orders as a precautionary measure amid the growing threat of coronavirus.

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Khan said that all the Primary schools in four districts of Kashmir including Srinagar, Baramulla, Budgam and Bandipora districts will remain closed till further orders.

Earlier, the government announced that all the primary schools in Jammu and Samba districts of Jammu and Kashmir will remain close till March 31, 2020.

An official spokesman said that the test reports of the two suspected patients from Jammu have been received. Both are high viral load cases and there is a high probability of their testing positive.

“Both suspected cases have been kept in isolation at Government Medical College, Jammu. They are stable and all protocol is being followed. Both cases had left the hospital against medical advice and had to be brought back,” said the government spokesman.

The coronavirus outbreak originated in China’s Wuhan in December and has spread to over 60 nations, killing more than 3,000 people and infecting over 90,000.
